Starhub MaxMobile
Yaho! It’s Myokii back again with Emoxis’ latest projects!
This time I bring you Starhub MaxMobile! It’s a promotional video to show that StarHub MaxMobile is awesome for work, play, leisure – indoors and outdoors. Practically everywhere!
The shoot was on 26 August 2010. And this was probably one of the most exciting and challenging shoots I’ve ever been involved in. Seldom hear me say that, eh? Well we miraculously managed to squeeze in 1 month’s worth of shoot preparation – casting, location scouting, scheduling, booking of crew and equipment, confirmation of storyboard and the likes – all in 1 week (or less). The feat itself was amazing, and I am honestly still in awe.
Creative Director Mark and I went location scouting before the shoot. It was tiring but fruitful nonetheless. We practically toured the whole of central Singapore in search of the most suitable locations. And we found them!
It was a narrative shoot – with a storyboard and sequence to follow, unlike most of the shoots I’ve been to – which were more of corporate shoots where we’d shoot generic and representative shots to convey a certain message. This time it was a completely different ballgame – hence the exciting challenge.
We started the shoot at 8am at Suntec City. And from then on it was a very hectic but very very fun day of shoot. And, very good-looking people
Our talents were great. Cooperative and good-looking.
Here’s Nelson the main lead with the laptop on his lap, hard at work… Looking good and fresh
The very sweet female lead, Geraldine.
Geraldine and the very expressive and adorable Gaius.
The funky and pretty Jayne together with Geraldine and Gaius.
The smart-looking Gabriel. Yeah, Gabriel and Gaius are brothers.
And Producer Meredith butting in to get her photo with the goodlooking talents. Well, we tried to get her out of it but we just let her have some fun on set for a while
And the 3 extremely elegant and classy ladies in the cafe scene, Christina, Madoka and Kayoko.
And everyone’s amazing looks were further exemplified by our dearest makeup artist Jessica. Here’s Jessica spicing up Jayne’s look.
This is only part of Jessica’s amazing tools…
And how could I forget our faithful 2 talents Sindy and Lewis. Sindy was too shy to be photographed. She wasn’t feeling well but she stuck with us the whole day and didn’t even complain one bit. Respect. Lewis was amazing as well, always offering to help carry this and that even though he really didn’t have to
And there’s also the angelic Faith and businessman Stephen, but unfortunately we didn’t manage to snap photos of them!
They were amazing as well, acted really well and were extremely cooperative.
We battled crazy schedules and extreme weather — it rained quite heavily during one of the outdoor scenes. And for the rest of the day it was blazing hot. The cast and crew really worked hard. Thank you everybody for sticking together and making this shoot work!

“This is how you point at the screen”
After an entire day of hard work, the shoot finally ended and from then it’s the creative post-production team’s turn to make magic. I’m stoked to see the final product!!
Wonder when we’ll get to do such exciting shoots again. Well, I can’t wait! I love shoots!
Well that’s all for me for now….
Till our next project!
